			<description>I see more sneakers than topsiders on boats these days.  Hell, I wear gore-tex hiking boots now.  I wasn't fully aware of the shift until I read your article... Could we be changing our ways to keep ahead of the fashion curve?  Or are we embracing the new shoes for function? I don't know...
