Some time before, I needed to buy a good car for my corporation but I did not earn enough money and couldn't buy anything. Thank heaven my fellow suggested to get the personal loans at banks. Therefore, I did that and used to be happy with my car loan. - HeadMadeline24

Great post and great term to remember (Yuppie 911)! One thing some sailors don't realize and the magazines typically don't write about is that even with a GPS and an EPIRB the world is very big place. Setting off the alarm doesn't mean a Coast Guard boat will be right there to pick you up when you're someplace like the middle of the Pacific Ocean. - zyxw

Very good article! I couldn't agree more that people are putting themselves into situations that, if they get into trouble, then someone will just come and get them. GPSs, electronic navigation, etc. are all wonderful navigational/safety aids, but they are just that... aids. They are no substitute for acquiring skills, and more importantly, common sense. - Richard Hazelton

Might be a good idea to start charging those Yuppie 911 people for the rescue services when they are not in danger. It's like the boy that cried wolf one time too many.If the rescue services start charging for false alarms the Yuppies should get the idea quickly that they better have a life or death situation before they push that button. - Rick Rahm
